| The 1st Grandparents' Day was held where families took part in a gentle and scenic 1km walk from Raffles Place, along the Singapore River - the very pulse and heartbeat of Singapore in its early days - to Elgin Bridge - the first bridge to be built across the Singapore River - before ending at the Asian Civilisations Museum at Empress Place.
The 3000 participants were treated to goodie bags at the registration a mass work out at the start point, and performances followed by a tour of the Ancient Civilisations Museum upon reaching the end point. The event also saw the launch of the book “letters for Grandpa & Grandma” from the National Library.
